Work on Sept. 25-28th; 140th Infantry Brigade instructions.The diary opens at Shenley on 1 March 1915. 1915 is spent at Mazingarbe, Lapugnoy, Bethune, Noeux Les Mines and Lozinghem. 1916 at Chateau de la Haie, Hoograf, Braquemont, Sains en Gohelle and Baizieux. 1917 at Hoograff, Portsmouth Camp, Chippawa Camp, Renninghelst and West Outre. 1918 is the most travelled year, 32 places against 23 in the next busiest, and is spent at Beaucourt, Ruyalcourt, Etricourt, Le Foret Nr Combles and 10k W Of Amiens. 1919 at Lozinghem. Chateau. It closes at Lozinghem on 28 February 1919. Hoograff is where it spent longest, 151 days across five separate stays, it came back to Mazingarbe six separate times, and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 61 days at Chateau de la Haie.Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Chateau de la Haie, Lozinghem.
