Seaforth Highlanders on Railway Salients I.11.a.41/2.3; Appendix "C" report on operations 1/2nd July, 1916; Report of operations in Left 2 night of 1/2nd July; Report on operations of Novr. 13th-15th Including the Capture of Beaumont Hamel; Instructions to Bombing Party Refered to in Para 20 operation order No 20; Memorandum Referred to in operation order No 10 Para; March Table for 25/26th June with Reference to 51st (Highland) Division operation order; Line Table of Relief; Instructions for 152nd Infantry Brigade.The diary opens at Bedford on 1 May 1915. 1915 is spent at Martinsart, Aveluy, Bedford, Henencourt and Moulin Du Vivier. 1916 is the most travelled year, 32 places against 21 in the next busiest, and is spent at Ariane, Forceville, Molliens Au Bois, Corbie and Aux Rietz. It closes at Aveluy on 9 December 1916. Aveluy is where it spent longest, 62 days across five separate stays, it came back to Martinsart six separate times, and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 31 days at Bedford.Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Mametz Wood, Area Of Mametz Wood, Henencourt Chateau and Fricourt Area and Mametz Wood.In 1915 it is also recorded at Near Fauquissart, Laventie, Merville, Ribemont, Lavieville, Henencourt Chateau and Henencourt Aveluy. In 1916 it is also recorded at Maroeuil, Ecoivres, Sus. St. Leger, Gezaincourt, Buire To Fricourt, Becordel, Fricourt Area and Mametz Wood, Area Of Mametz Wood, Mametz Wood and Dernancourt.
