It names 54 places across 81 dated entries.Alongside the daily entries the volume carries two casualty and personnel returns, seven reports, narratives and plans, five Operation Orders, three appendices and four maps. Among the papers are: List of officers 1-6th Bn A& S. H; List of officers 1/6th. Bn. Arg. & Suth'd. Highrs; 51st (Highland) Division. Intelligence Summary; Operation order No. 4 1/6th Battn Arg & Suth'd Highrs; Operation order by Captain, N.C. Orr, Commanding 1/6th. Battn. Arg. & Suth'd Highrs; Special order of the Day Comdg 152nd Inf. Brigade; Table of Reliefs (Issued with 5th Division operation order No. 95); Table of Reliefs 95th Inf. Bde.The diary opens at Bed Ford on 1 May 1915. 1915 is the most travelled year, 48 places against 25 in the next busiest, and is spent at Authville, Martinsart, Aveluy, La Couture and Henencourt. 1916 is spent at Labyrinth, Rubempre, Corbie, Maroeuil and Ariane. It closes at Grand Rullecourt on 30 June 1916. Authville is where it spent longest, 30 days across four separate stays and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 21 days at Corbie.Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Lapierre Farm, B Equart Farm and Wattel Farm.In 1915 it is also recorded at Folkestone, Boulogne, Part De Brique, Merville, B Equart Farm, Wattel Farm, Lapierre Farm, Strazeele, Vielle Chapelle and Locon. In 1916 it is also recorded at Acheux, Molliens Au Bois, Pierregot, Rainneville, Beauval, Beaudricourt, Sub-Sector M2, Sector M.2, Agnieres and Bois Des Alleux.
