Among the papers are: Casualties; Casualties for month of October 1916; Casualty for month of October 1916; Proposed raid by 6th Black Watch and 7th Gordon Highlanders; Orders for raid by 1/6th Black Watch; 153rd Infantry Brigade Intelligence Summary 6a.m. 31st August to 6 a.m. 1st September; 153rd Brigade Summary of Intelligence for the Period 12 Noon 27/11/16 to 12 Noon 38/11/16; 153rd Infantry Brigade Daily Intelligence Summary 12 noon 16/3/17 to 12 noon 17/3/17; March Table issued with 58th Bde operation order No. 82; Instructions for Brigade in Corps Reserve; Table of Reliefs issued with operation order No. 132; Instructions Re Raids to Be carried out by 153rd Infantry Brigade.The diary opens at Armentieres on 1 September 1916. 1916 is the most travelled year, 23 places against 15 in the next busiest, and is spent at Mailly, Armentieres, Courcelette, Bouzincourt and Steenwerck. 1917 is spent at La Comte, Drucat, Roclincourt, Frevillers and Courcelette. It closes at Roclincourt on 31 March 1917. Mailly is where it spent longest, 25 days across three separate stays, it came back to Courcelette four separate times, and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 16 days at La Comte.In 1916 it is also recorded at Fletre, Beauval, Vauchelles, Louvencourt, Courcelles, Forceville, Raincheval, Puchvillers, Hedauville and Ovillers. In 1917 it is also recorded at Aveluy Ovillers, Bouzincourt, Puchvillers, Gezaincourt, Domqueur, Argenvillers, Maison Ponthieu, Boubers, Flers and Dieval.
