(Territorial), 157 Infantry Brigade, 52nd Division, covering April 1918 to March 1919 across 447 pages. It names 68 places across 81 dated entries.Alongside the daily entries the volume carries one casualty and personnel return, 39 reports, narratives and plans, 60 Operation Orders, two defence schemes, seventeen appendices, five maps and one diagram. Among the papers are: Casualty report; 1/6th Bn. Highland Light Infantry Administrative instructions; 1/6th Highland Light Infantry Preliminary Instruction Re Move; Battalion Administrative instructions; Operation order for raid on enemy Trench Meril; Administrative order No. 11 issued with Reference to Brigade order No. 102; Proposed raid scheme; Alternative raid scheme; Amendment to Brigade Administrative instructions No. 103; Handing Over of Communication issued with Bde order No. 107; 157th Infantry Brigade Administrative instructions No. 103; Communications issued with Bde order No. 108.The diary opens at Sarona on 3 April 1918. 1918 is spent at Pava Mons-Jurbise Road, Pave N Of Mons, Mont St Eloi, Raimbert and Croisilles. 1919 at Pave Mons Jurbise Road, Pave Near Mons, Jurbise and Soignies. It closes at Soignies Belgium on 31 March 1919. Pava Mons-Jurbise Road is where it spent longest, 31 days, including a single unbroken stay of 31 and it came back to Mont St Eloi three separate times.Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Firing Line Hudson Trenches, Vimy 2nd Line Trenches, Chateau-De-La Haie, Cantigneul Mill and Pillbox Nr Cantigneul Mill.In 1918 it is also recorded at Surafend Camp Ludd, Kantarah, Sidi Bishr Alexandria, HMT Caledonia, Marseilles, St. Valery, La Lacque, Neuville St Vaast, Vimy 2nd Line Trenches and Chaudiere Defences. In 1919 it is also recorded at Jurbise to Maizieres.
