Among the papers are: Casualties up to 6 a.m; Appendix 3 Casualty Wires; Narrative account of the Work of the 55th Divisional R.A.M.C; Report of the working of the medical Service of the 55th division during the 31st July; Report on Work of the R.A.M.C; Addendum to 55 Division, R.A.M.C. operation order No. 31; Report of Medical Arrangements of the 55th Division; Narrative account of Work by R.A.M.C. during operations; Special instructions; Amendment to 55th Division R.A.M.C. operation order No. 37; Routine order No. 43 55th (West Lancs) Division; 55th Division R.A.M.C. operation order No. 48.The diary opens at Hallincourt on 3 January 1916. 1916 is spent at Gouy, Belleview Farm, L'Ebbe Farm, Hallincourt and Hallencourt. 1917 at Villers Faucon, Poperinghe, Mersey Camp, Nordausques and Bomy. 1918 at Drouvin, Bomy, Les Chopettes, Ath and Le Preol. 1919 at Uccle. It closes at Uccle on 29 March 1919. Drouvin is where it spent longest, 149 days across five separate stays and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 31 days at Gouy.Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Belleview Farm and L'Ebbe Farm.In 1917 it is also recorded at A Camp, Red Rose Camp, Peronne and Hermaville. In 1918 it is also recorded at Hinges, Fouquereuil, Drouvin K.4.z.5.3, Fouquieres, Fretin, Cysoing and Chapelle-A-Wattines.
