Big deal! Why punctuate clearly when most people understand the message? Contrarily, most people may NOT understand the message. A simple misuse of a comma can confuse the intent of the message. Consider the well-known statements, Man: "A woman, without her man, is nothing." Woman: "A woman, without her, man is nothing" These two statements clearly indicate that without the correct application of punctuation, the message may easily be misconstrued. Life Is How You Punctuate It illustrates all facets of punctuation in a concise, easy to understand manner, while presenting thought provoking practice exercises. The picture/dialogue of the book's authors adds a pictorial of "realness" and "clarity" to the punctuation rules. Moreover, Life Is How You Punctuate It allows the learner to think on different levels of Bloom's Taxonomy by applying punctuation marks, reaching Bloom's highest levels of reasoning-Evaluation and Synthesis. For added rigor, the enrichment exercises of lesson 15 allow learner to punctuate correctly three philosophical essays about success and life by applying all the punctuation marks illustrated in this book. Thus, Life Is How You Punctuate It is more than a punctuation book: It is a motivational, life strengthening book that makes rules of punctuation and rules of life simple to endure and understand. Big deal? In the words of Sarah Palin, "You betcha!"-
