Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Jimmie Dale series spanned multiple books and saw adaptations in other media, including silent films in the 1910s and a radio serial in the 1930s. Though not as widely remembered as some pulp heroes, Jimmie Dale played a crucial role in bridging the gap between the classic gentleman thief of 19th-century fiction and the masked vigilantes of the early 20th century.Packard was a prolific writer, producing dozens of adventure novels, but his legacy remains strongest with Jimmie Dale, whose mix of crime, disguise, and heroism helped shape the modern pulp hero. His influence on later crime and superhero fiction remains undeniable. This volume includes the first three novels in the series:The Adventures of Jimmie Dale (1917)The Further Adventures of Jimmie Dale (1920)Jimmie Dale and the Phantom Clue (1922)
