Most people love dogs. When we think of dogs, we usually think of our pets. We might even remember dogs that work on a farm or help people with daily tasks. In other words, there are all kinds of dogs. Author David Volk's Fearless Felix and His Heroes is about dogs that have gone to war in service of their country, dogs that provide assistance to people who need help in their daily lives, and dogs that work tirelessly to keep us safe. Fearless Felix sniffs out danger. He tells about his life as a bomb dog. He also tells stories of dogs throughout history who's served humans. He shares stories of war dogs beginning in World War I.
