It establishes you on the part, freedom, and wisdom of giving all to God. The New Testament is not a message of 10 percent but 100 percent. That's why tithe was not preached in the New Testament. Every other thing was taught by the Lord Jesus Christ and the apostles except tithe. The New Testament is a message of "sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me" (Luke 18:22). Not "sell 10 percent that thou hast." The message of tithe cannot be preached in the New Testament.
