Who’s to say which person is right for us to love? Is it up to man, woman, religion, culture, or tradition alone? Can we, with a clear conscience declare, "Love and sexual expressions must be promulgated solely on the archaic norm of the society"? Family Love Affairs offers possible answers, in a story about the struggles by all mankind everywhere, to search for true love, and their eff orts to understand it.As a sequel to Family Affairs, this novel tells a tale of sexual liberation, passion, regrets, rejections, forgiveness, betrayal, and the pursuit of love as defined by individuals, with a taste of American point of view and African tradition and culture as a backdrop.Bishop Shackles is a popular and beloved clergyman who must finally make a choice: whether to obey the doctrine of his faith and continue to reject his daughter’s sexual orientation or stand with her, protect her, against opposition, and officiate her wedding to her lesbian lover, Alice, in his church. Some families will be torn apart, while others will be brought together in love and happiness.
