Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Daily life brings about its own challenges. However, what happens when those challenges grow deeper and the slope of those challenges steeper? Too often the world around us grows dark in the midst of difficult challenges. Often we lose focus, our identity, and the purpose of living. In When . . . Hope Reigns the author artistically reaches into the depth of sorrow and brings perspective through a combination of scriptural illustration, personal testimony, and commentary while keeping the parables of Luke 15 in context. The parable of the lost coin is used as an anchor to bundle many intriguing and complex ideas and storylines together into a tight package readers will easily identify with. The author seeks to entice the appetite of readers by allowing them to fill in their own story into the title's ellipsis to discover the message God is writing in their own life. Shawna Bedal desires the Holy Spirit to use this work to empower the faith among her readers to discover joy in worshipping God in the midst of heartache-to know When . . . Hope Reigns! Shawna Bedal lives in Chandler, Arizona with her family of seven. Life is nowhere near perfect, but joy and happiness swell the walls of their home. However, it didn't always look that way. To escape, Shawna found solace in reading. In the hours of night, while her world slept, she discovered an intimacy with God through journaling. "My first writings were more like pleas from my heartache, which evolved into prayers, poems, and thoughts from the books I read by day. The written word became my passion as God infiltrated my life. The hunger and thirst for God could not be extinguished, but only fed."
