Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Long before she ever met him, Professor María Elena Fernández-Miranda fell in love with the mind of Eugene Nida, distinguished linguist and Bible translator. During the busiest period of a professional career that had taken her from Spain to Luxembourg and then Belgium, she declines an offer to speak at an internationally regarded translator's conference. When she learns Professor Nida is to be a keynote speaker at the event and she begins to carefully prepare a presentation on multilingualism in Europe . . . . In Gene Nida, My Husband and My Inspiration, Elena Nida shares her memories of a boundless, pure romance that appears usually only in fairy tales. Bursting with the joys and aches of love and life, filled with vivid imagery, this memorial is a study of life itself; of what a life well lived looks like; of selflessness and honor and love- love most of all.
