Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

This commentary gives a clear interpretation of such symbols as the 144,000, the Beast, the False Prophet, the Mark of the Beast, 666, and Armageddon. Many other lesser symbols such as heads, horns, tails, stars, horses, trumpets, bowls, etc., are also interpreted. The historical circumstances of the Apocalypse are established: Gnosticism, emperor worship, the fall of Jerusalem, and the general persecution of the church. "Taylor's approach to a difficult book is sensible. He has not bound himself to any one school of thought. Historical, theological and literary methodologies are combined to achieve a comprehensive view of the salient lessons of Revelation. This method avoids much of the tedium one usually encounters in studying this topic. ... (His) sentence structure is fairly simple, his vocabulary is understandable, and his syntax is excellent. ... (His) book provides an excellent understanding of a difficult book." Book Review by Clyde M. Miller, Nashville, TN Gospel Advocate, August 1996
