Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

We are, each of us, born a bundle of questions. We have no idea who we'll become when we're playing with our dolls, building Lego cities, and using our stuffed animals to practice our particular brand of veterinarian medicine. We only know that we want to be happy. However, what do we do when we grow up and find "happy" evading our grasping hands? Do we settle into a hum-drum existence? Do we use whatever we can find to ease the disappointment? Or do we go on an exhausting hunt for an elusive prey? What if the answer is knocking at the door right now? What if we can know rich, deep, soul-satisfying joy, which remains, no matter what our circumstances? In Joyful, Joy-full: The Hidden Treasure of a Surrendered Life, Cheryl explores the secret ache we all carry. With refreshing honesty and vulnerability, she reveals how Jesus Christ desires to provide the richest of spiritual food so that we will experience the abundant joy found in knowing Him. Joyful, Joy-full helps us heal from the sting of unrealized hope, rest from the burden of chasing happiness, and release the weight of "doing". Let your heart awaken to the treasure of joy found in living life satisfied by the glory of an extraordinary God. Cheryl Shumake deeply loves her husband, Jonathan, and their four children. She is an adventuress who enjoys travelling and subjecting family to interesting culinary concoctions. She is also an ordained minister, Bible teacher, speaker, and conference host. Cheryl has authored several books and is a stepmom educator. She finds it a privilege to lead women to faith, freedom and fruitfulness in Jesus Christ. However, what she cherishes most about her life is that she is a worshipper, daughter and friend of the Most High God. Cheryl and her family make their home in southeast Michigan.
