Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Jo's Boys is Louisa May Alcott's concluding novel in the beloved Little Women sequence, following the children of Plumfield as they move from schoolroom innocence into adult choice, work, love, disappointment, and moral responsibility. Set a decade after Little Men, the novel returns to Jo March Bhaer and Professor Bhaer's progressive school, where the boys and girls they have guided must now make their own way in the wider world.Alcott brings together domestic fiction, coming-of-age narrative, family drama, and nineteenth-century moral storytelling with the warmth and clarity that made the March family one of the most enduring creations in American literature. Nat, Dan, Demi, Tommy, Daisy, Nan, Bess, and Josie each face a different test of character, ambition, loyalty, and self-command, while Jo watches the next generation struggle toward useful, honest adulthood. Read alongside Little Women and Little Men, Jo's Boys offers both a satisfying continuation and a reflective close to Alcott's classic family saga.
