Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

"I have sat and listened to Joe tell various stories and history of Piggott, Arkansas and am amazed at the detail that he can communicate, never using notes and always from the heart. Because of his knowledge of our past and his unique relationship with most of the people that he describes, he has an ability to take a simple news article and build it into a memorable story. This book may focus on the story of Piggott, Arkansas during World War II, but it is really a story that comes from every community in the Heartland of American." "A MUST read!" Nancy Kemp, Editor, Cross Roads Magazine. "To better understand Joe's commitment to history and Piggott, Arkansas, you just have to follow him around town. From his law office, which is housed in the original brick building in town and first bank; to the 1925 Bank of Piggott building that he has converted into a modern Bed and Breakfast; to his bakery and coffee shop, The City Market; everything is a story board for the incredible history of Piggott, Arkansas and no one is better suited to tell that story than Joe." Jim Poole, Mayor, City of Piggott, Arkansas.
