Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Bible is full of incredible stories of supernatural encounters, signs, and wonders, such as healings, casting out demons, and other miracles. It is widely accepted in the Christian community that these acts were done by God and display His power and glory. Where disagreement comes in, however, is with the prevalence of these signs and wonders today. Does God still choose to perform miracles? Can people still encounter Him in supernatural ways? What, if much, of the religious activity many of us have grown up with or been exposed to is truly just a hollow shell? Shattering Religion's Hollow Shell encourages readers to challenge beliefs they may have been taught, such as divine acts like these are confined to the time period of the Bible. Author Miguel Alfonso writes about his own journey learning about the power of the Holy Spirit, and how the Holy Spirit is just as active in today's society as He was in the past. Coming from a conservative Seventh-day Adventist background, Miguel's walk with God changed radically, opening up his day-to-day life to God's supernatural presence and power. Join Miguel on this adventure as he shares the revelations God has taught and shown him along the way, constantly inviting him to exchange powerless religion for the raw, authentic, Gospel of radical power and love. Filled with personal stories and relevant biblical commentary, Miguel includes prayers readers can use in their own prayer lives. Shattering Religion's Hollow Shell is a powerful read that will help readers learn ways to experience greater intimacy with the Lord. Miguel Alfonso spent many years in ministry - preaching, teaching, and writing as an evangelist and church planter. During this time, he began to question why his faith didn't look like the faith of Christians from the book of Acts. Through the Holy Spirit's guidance, Miguel was able to experience supernatural encounters and demonstrations in his life. Miguel believes this is the rightful, redeemed birthright for every son and daughter of God, and he hopes the book will provoke readers to renounce every lie preventing them from living their created and redeemed purposes. Miguel is also the author of Identity Crisis: Learning to Live from New Identity, which is available on Amazon.com.
