Leon "Ship" Shipley is a regular guy who works hard in a manufacturing plant in Mississippi and could be found drinking anything but alcohol in the local tavern on occasion. His life is pretty predictable in small-town Como, Mississippi, until he meets India, a beautiful, woman from Pascagoula, Mississippi who is in town for college and soon finds the company of Leon to be enjoyable and engaging. Fast forward two years, Leon has popped the question to a surprised but very receptive India and plans are underway to create their intimate wedding and new life together. Leon also contacts his mother to share the good news, which she is also very reluctant to hear her son is getting married to a woman she has never met. Leon and India know that their move into marriage is quicker than expected but their love should show their families this is real and will last throughout the years, right?
