Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Abigail (Nabby) Howe Young was an attractive, lively woman who came from an educated, politically involved family. Her high-class parents were devastated when she married John Young, a former indentured servant whose father had been the town drunk. Despite the vast difference in their backgrounds, the couple loved one another immensely and struggled together to serve God, raise their children properly, and tackle the obstacles of frontier life. But instead of the success they dreamed of, they suffered through failed crops, illness, and death. In the midst of hardship, they were able to raise children of strong faith and leadership.Join Abigail in this novelization of her life as she tells her story from her deathbed--the story of a family struggling to eke out an existence in an extremely unforgiving land and honoring God as they did so. From such profound and challenging roots came the much-loved second prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Brigham Young
