Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Wildlife abounds in the fabled Rocky Mountain range, which remarkably stretches all the way from Alaska to New Mexico. In the realm of megafauna, you might observe sweeping herds of Elk crossing alpine meadows, Bighorn sheep roaming along rocky ridges, or Mountain Goats clinging to cliff faces. Bird life is also rich, as American Dippers patrol montane rivers, Canada Jays and Clark’s Nutcrackers forage in upland forests, and Hermit Thrushes fill pine forests with their ethereal songs. Some of the finest wildlife viewing in North America is enjoyed in the Rockies, and it helps to get acquainted with the most representative species. You can do this with the portable reference Rocky Mountain Wildlife, which includes beautiful illustrations of 140 mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fishes, and butterflies as well as a map showing over 20 wildlife-viewing hotspots and learning sites. Laminated for durability, this lightweight, 12-panel folding pocket guide is a great companion for educators, learners, naturalists, birders, and adventurers who wish to sharpen their identification skills and connect more meaningfully with the land through its animals. Made in the USA.
