Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

With desert, the Colorado Plateau, the Rocky Mountains, forests, and the Great Salt Lake, Utah boasts some excellent wildlife-viewing opportunities, especially when it comes to waterfowl, wading birds, and mammalian megafauna. State bird California Gull occupies lakes and wetlands, often alongside migratory ducks, geese, sandpipers, and plovers, all of which can congregate in astounding numbers. Bighorn Sheep traverse rocky ridges, while Pronghorns, American Bison, and Mule Deer forage in grasslands. State insect Honey Bee is the primary reason why Utah has been dubbed the Beehive State. Animals often represent the face of an ecosystem, so getting acquainted with the most representative species is always useful. You can readily do this with the portable reference Utah Wildlife, which includes beautiful illustrations of 140 common and familiar mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fishes, butterflies, and other insects as well as an ecoregion map showing wildlife-viewing hotspots and learning sites. Laminated for durability, this lightweight, 12-panel folding pocket guide is a terrific resource for educators, learners, naturalists, birders, and wildlife enthusiasts who wish to forge deeper and more meaningful connections with the land through its animals. Made in the USA.
