Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

From Britain's misty moors to its urban sprawl of London come the stories of twelve of the greatest men in LDS Church History.Although the Church began in a small town in New York, through the years influential Latter-day Saints have come from all corners of the earth. One land, in particular, Great Britain, has produced some of the most revered leaders in Church History. In Twelve Sons of Britain, BYU scholar Lawrence Flake takes an insightful look into the lives of twelve noble leaders from Britain over a span of two centuries. They led diverse lives under different circumstances - from Derek A. Cuthbert, whose wife mistook three missionary elders for three strange men all named [Elmer, ]to James Edward Talmage, who almost delayed his baptism because of a mysterious, angry howl from the darkened forest - yet all twelve shared a strong commitment to the Church, as well as to their noble birthplace.
