Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Worship? Check. Compassion? Check. Are worship and compassion two separate experiences in your life's journey? In his book Kissing the Face of God, Dale Walker writes of the extraordinary things God does "when we live a life of compassion given as an expression of worship." Using abundant and engaging examples from his own life and others', Walker shows in a practical way how acts of compassion flow out of true worship. We follow Walker as he ministers in a nursing home in New Mexico, at a "Kingdom party" for street people in Hong Kong, to a prostitute dying of HIV-AIDS in Zambia, and to orphans living in a cemetery in the Philippines. In this groundbreaking book, Walker guides us to look where Jesus is looking, demonstrating how to find His presence in the suffering and hurting ones - "the least of these" - through a worship that changes the world. "Kissing the Face of God has literally changed my concept of what worship is and the unexpectedly powerful ways God can flow through it! A must-read for every worship leader, missionary, and pastor." - Tommy Walker, Worship Leader for Christian Assembly, Los Angeles "...reading this book will be a defining moment." - Delane Bailey-Herd, Project Manager, Food for the Poor, Haiti A full-time pastor for thirty-three years, Dale Walker is senior pastor of Heart for the World Church in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He and his wife Sharon founded Heart for the World Ministries, a missions organization through which they give their very best to those who have the very least. They have six children and eight grandchildren. You can listen to Dale's sermons at www.hftwchurch.org.
