Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Life is hard. We need to laugh more. God is good. We need to know Him better. ____________________________________________________ A dog who goes nuts in thunderstorms. A car lost in the Walmart parking lot and a pool table lost off the back of a truck. A rescue mission to save a fish in the woods. A less-than-stellar round of golf. The incessant racket of a GPS system and a gutterpecking bird. An iguana on a leash. Tacky yard art. Every day is loaded with opportunities to learn more about the amazing character and ways of God. All of life can become a parable if we have eyes to see and ears to hear the One who created us to know and love Him. God calls to us in even humdrum places and moments, whispering, "Here I am. Talk to Me. Listen to Me. Learn from Me." And sometimes, "Laugh with Me." Here you'll enjoy a sampling of humorous newspaper columns written by Mary Ann Crum that will entertain, encourage, inspire and challenge you, as they have thousands of her readers over the past decade. Each section of columns is followed by thought-provoking, soul-searching, practical questions for group discussion and individual study that will get you into God's word-the only words that can truly transform our hearts and lives. It's refreshing Bible study with a twist. Jump on in. Live. Learn. And by all means, laugh. Mary Ann Crum earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Louisville and is the author of one previous book, "A Giggle Goes A Long Way." She is a wife, mom, and grandmother, and has been a newspaper reporter and columnist, university public relations writer, tennis coach, church youth director, children's home houseparent, and women's ministry director. She lives in Greenwood, S.C.
