What you hold in your hands is much more than a book. It is a portable accessible for new pastors as well as a seasoned reminder for experienced pastors. This book is powerfully and practically written for those who prayerfully seek to lead, aspire to empower and faithfully shepherd God's people. Highly recommended! Rev. Debra L. Haggins, Executive Director Hampton University Minsters' Conference University Chaplain, Hampton University Pastors are often public people who suffer private pain and it is difficult to minister when one's heart is heavy. Dr. Swann's book hopes to inject new life and unlimited possibilities for healing for those pastors who are in the formative stages of their pastoral journey. This book is a must read for pastors who have a passion for the possible, a commitment to creativity and a hunger for healing. Michael A. Walrond, Jr., M.Div. Senior Pastor, First Corinthian Baptist Church, Harlem, NY Being a pastor can be a rewarding but challenging experience. There are several obstacles that pastors will encounter that will not be addressed in seminary or even with previous ministerial experience. Many pastors privately struggle without support or help to address their concerns. When pastors are hurting it inevitably has an impact on the congregation. This book was written to help pastors, leaders and laypersons develop the key elements for sound biblical leadership and give practical but effective solutions to successfully minister in a rapidly changing world. Kevin G. Swann, D.Min., is the Senior Pastor of Ivy Baptist Church in Newport News, VA. He also founded Kevin Swann Ministries, Inc., and a local radio Christian talk show. He has served in various leadership positions in ministry since 1997. His prayer is to empower other pastors to successfully lead people into a more meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ.
