Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

War, tragedy, love, faith, culture, superstition, and small town dynamics blend to make this historical novel a compelling journey. The story takes place during the crux of WW II and centers around Rebecca and Travis, who fought against feelings for each other because of family connections until the startling revelations of a death-bed confession. The complications of a love triangle triggers an element of suspense and tragedy that devastates the entire community of Granite Pass. Phantom of the Hills is focused on place and emphasizes the beauty, traditions, and customs of a mountain community as seen through the eyes of local citizens, and particularly an outsider, during a world at war. This story also illustrates the value and power of prayer. Ava Hamilton Voshell is a freelance writer living in the beautiful state of Maryland. Her short stories, profiles, and feature stories have been published in magazines, newspapers and regional publications. Phantom of the Hills is her first novel.
