Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

This juvenile fictional novel describes the unfortunate lifestyle of eleven-year-old Stella, who experiences bullying both at home and at her new school on a regular basis. With guidance from a trusted friend and biblical wisdom from a sermon at church, Stella finds that forgiveness and embracing one's true self can set one free from sadness and bitterness. Her journey to gaining inner confidence gives depth to her personality and qualifies her as a role model. The author, a former middle school teacher, is aware that unchecked bullying can create tragic results. However, appreciating one's self-worth can help to combat these situations. The book was written in hopes that more and more individuals will become motivated as they read Stand up, Stella. It is a call for rising up against verbal and physical abuse.
