Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Explore the eerie beauty and hidden histories of Eastern Pennsylvania's abandoned places through stunning photography.Have you ever driven past an abandoned building or house and wondered what was inside? Who left, where did they go, and why? Abandoned Eastern Pennsylvania: Behind the Boards gives you a firsthand look into these forgotten places that were once filled with the sounds of laughter, people working, learning, or worshiping. In this book, you will find photographs of Eastern Pennsylvania's abandoned hospitals, factories, schools, and more--places left exposed to the elements to decay and disappear. As they sit rotting and crumbling, there is still history in every room, every board, and every brick. Many have been demolished and forgotten, while others face extinction from vandals, scrappers, and fires. Some are so well hidden and buried, they tell a tale of Mother Nature taking back what was once hers. Hidden inside these walls are stories that are just dying to be told. Follow photographer and author Kari Miller as she takes you on a photographic journey into the unknown, behind the boards.
