Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Explore the 150-year history of Ocean Grove through its preserved Victorian homes, reflecting a rich Christian heritage and seaside community.Explore the 150-year history of one of America's most unique seaside Camp Meeting communities through Ocean Grove's historic homes. VanderBerg will take you on a walking tour in Ocean Grove's Historic District to explore the preserved architectural treasures that remain within "God's Square Mile at the Jersey Shore." The home styles commonly found in Ocean Grove mix and borrow from the Victorian era of architecture with highlights of local artisan craftsmanship unique to this seaside community. Most homes have a story linked to a rich Christian heritage that dates back to 1869, when thousands came to Ocean Grove for spiritual refreshment and renewal. Visitors today can still find that same kind of community as they stroll among the narrow streets while neighbors visit on open porches and music can be heard in the distance coming from the Great Auditorium.
