Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

"I could smell the sea salt, hear the ropes groan under the strain, feel the fear of the westward journey prickle on my skin." Barbara Henderson, NovelistThe world flooded long ago-further back in time than anyone can remember. A scattered humanity continues to carve out its existence on wooden rigs high above the sea and on wayfaring ships that plot their course on the currents of the ocean. The young captain Abner has only just inherited his own ship when it is fatally damaged during a storm. Without a sea-worthy vessel, all his hopes and dreams for life as a captain appear to be dashed and sunk until he meets the enigmatic Silas, whose simple offer of help seems cloaked within a deeper mystery. Voyaging from rig to rig across the ocean planet, Abner learns there's more to survival than just staying afloat as he navigates hope, trust and fear to face an ultimate challenge at the terrifying, destructive edge of his world."A compelling and beautiful tale, full of intriguing characters and mysterious locations."
