In 40 years of ministry, working with struggling people in the intimate setting of a counseling office, I have discovered two things: Damaged relationships are terribly common, and many people don't know what to do about them. Most people do the best they know to do, but relational healing is not accomplished when we fail to do the needed thing, or worse, do something else that actually increases the damage.
