Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

This book, a Special Golden Jubilee Independence Edition, presents, as its central focus, a snapshot of the political wanderings and spiritual meanderings of the nation of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique, an Independent State in the Eastern Caribbean, for the past fifty years (1974 - 2024). Written from a biblical perspective, it seeks to highlight some of the spiritual realities at play and their impact on the nation's historical evolution, its institutions, leadership and citizens. It issues a clarion call for serious stocktaking, innovative strategic thinking, and clear value-driven governing to deal with the cosmic battle over Grenada's soul as it drifts further and further away from its godly moorings. It unapologetically and urgently calls for national repentance as a prerequisite to social and spiritual transformation, in keeping with God's redemptive plan for individuals and nations. Joan Purcell, BSc. M.ED, Dip.Theology, been involved in national politics for over thirty years, as a Member of Parliament, Cabinet Minister, has written and published six books, including "Memoirs of a Woman in Politics: Spiritual Struggle". Served in both church and community as a bible teacher, spiritual director, and community activist. A vocal advocate of good governance and servant leadership, based on a biblical worldview. Amanda Jack, BSc., author, wife, mother, bible teacher and college lecturer, has the unique gift of seeing today's reality from the viewpoint of holy Scripture enabling decision-making that aligns with God's Word.
