This memoir, a firsthand account like no other by Sinatra's confidant, his longtime friend and personal hairdresser-Joseph Paris. Sharing his experience of Sinatra's world as only your hairdresser can tell it... After surviving the neighborhood gangs of his native Brooklyn, a young Joey Guarnera, fled his family butcher shop after a fateful encounter with an Easter lamb. He recreated himself as Joseph Paris-celebrity hairstylist. Upon their meeting in 1965, Sinatra took an instant liking to Paris who was "inducted" into the Chairman's inner circle and remained steadfast throughout the decades until the end. "I was very often the first person to see him at the beginning of his day (afternoon time) and the last to see him at night," says Paris. Recalling his years with Frank Sinatra, this memoir provides an insider's perspective from intimate moments to the most hell-raising episodes, with a cast of colorful characters:*A moody, impatient Sinatra on the set of his final film, "First Deadly Sin."*Favorite hangouts at the famed Jilly's New York and Vegas antics with the Rat Pack.*Accompanying Sinatra from his Palm Springs home to his performances worldwide.*Babysitting Dean Martin at the Reagan Inaugural gala as well and standing guard for Sinatra's family. Giving the boot to the Righteous Brothers for infringing on Sinatra's steam room at the Sands Hotel.*While on his brief exile from Sinatra...Paris reassures Barbra Streisand with anew hairstyle during her performance for the Kennedy Center telecast... Paris then accepts an invitation by the King of Morocco to be his personal hairdresser and guest for the King's lavish royal hunt.*Encounters with Elvis Presley, as well as a legacy of Hollywood film and musical legends, jazz greats and more!
