As a society, we must stop convincing every one of the stereotypes that the trades are low pay, or 2nd class. Instead, we need to be talking about getting paid to learn a marketable skill in half the time, with no debt, and higher starting wages. We need to be exposing the damage society has brought to an entire generation of retail workers, baristas, fast food employees, unemployed and under employed college graduates with lifelong debt and no jobs. We must stop churning out college graduates in fields that have no jobs, low pay, and crushing debt, all to enrich the educational institutions.
