Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Thruway Trooper: Purple Ties and Division Lies is a powerful true crime memoir that pulls back the curtain on the hidden world of police corruption, political interference, and betrayal within one of the country's most respected law enforcement agencies-the New York State Police.Seamus A. Lyons was a highly decorated New York State Trooper, known for his commitment to duty and integrity. But when he refused to be part of the cover-ups and lies protecting corrupt leadership, he found himself in the crosshairs of the very system he had sworn to uphold. In this unflinching and deeply personal account, Lyons exposes systemic corruption, revealing how political power and personal ambition can compromise justice, destroy careers, and ruin lives. From the ivory tower politics of Albany to the rank-and-file troopers on the highway, Lyons' story offers an insider's view into a deeply flawed system. He details the whistleblower experience-the retaliation, isolation, and personal cost of standing up for what is right. But through it all, he remains steadfast in his pursuit of internal justice.Part law enforcement exposé, part whistleblower biography, and part white collar crime investigation, Thruway Trooper is a gripping narrative for readers who crave true crime stories rooted in fact, courage, and moral conviction. Lyons' journey will resonate with law enforcement professionals, true crime enthusiasts, and social justice advocates alike. If you're drawn to books that tackle justice system failures, police misconduct, and the personal cost of truth-telling, this memoir belongs on your shelf. Prepare for a candid, eye-opening ride through the dark side of law enforcement, and discover what it really means to stand alone against the system.
