Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Did Richard Nixon really take a secret weekend trip to Canada in 1957? Did he go drinking in a bar, without secret service protection, play golf and make friends with the Mayor of small-town Picton, Ontario? Searching for Richard Nixon investigates a largely forgotten and undocumented episode of American Presidential and Canadian history. It sheds new light on Nixon's background and legacy, and links the past with current events and politics, including the election of Donald Trump. The search for evidence of Nixon's trip reveals a treasure trove of anecdotes about the Bay of Quinte. The author also relates his own journey, in a compelling personal narrative, where he finds his place and makes a new home in rural Prince Edward County.
