Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

When writer and artist Lesley Wildman was asked to sort and catalogue the works of a recently deceased fellow artist, she never expected the task to consume her life. Among the belongings, she discovered hundreds of heartfelt letters unveiling the extraordinary story of an Australian runaway bride from the 1930s.Once an aspiring socialite, this daring woman abandoned her marriage and reinvented herself in London as an actress, playwright, and producer. Fuelled by an unbreakable spirit, she accepted a bold bet - one that led her to traverse the most remote and treacherous parts of the world, entirely alone.A trailblazer both in her time and beyond, her journey was one of courage, reinvention, and defiance. But no one could have foreseen how it would all come to an end.
