Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Broadlake is a tragicomic exploration of family, friendship, love and loss. In this strikingly original debut novel, an epic rhyming narrative is linked to a murder case, forging a unique literary detective story. The deceased narrator has one day left to pinpoint the origins of his downfall. Yet why is he in such a rush and did his demise stem from his childhood, his career, his friends or his doomed relationships? Will he find the answer before it is too late and how will his account of events affect the outcome of the murder investigation? A true labour of love written over the course of two decades, Ed Bingham's work follows in the tradition of long poem connoisseurs, Eliot, Frost, Ginsberg and Seth. 'Bingham has a woozy lyrical style' Mark Liam Piggott, author of Kidology: The pre-cretinous era 'Dirty, wild...trippy and brazen' Ade Kolade , The University of Manchester 'Intricate and intriguing' Kate Rizzo, Greene & Heaton 'Reminiscent of TS Eliot and BS Johnson' David Stephens, author of The Disappeared
