A young Vietnam conscript is severely wounded in the tunnels in South Vietnam. As a tunnel rat his life expectancy is short. In London there is a couple facing burnout from high pressure employment; there are university students in Europe and Melbourne looking for some adventure, and high school students in Hobart being given a major challenge as they end their secondary schooling.Tasmania is a magnet that drags in people from all over the world for a multitude of reasons. Cradle Mountain is the salve for many of them to take time out and pit themselves against nature.Some are taking the great adventure; some are just running away. Some are looking for peace and solitude, from a life that is too busy.Every person who spends time there, changes under its influence. And almost all of then plan to return.
