Existing routes have been updated, and selected ascents such as Rummel Ridge and Rawson Ridge include alternative lines intended to provide safer options under appropriate conditions. The geographic range extends from Waterton in the south to the Columbia Icefield in the northern part of Banff National Park. The guide is designed for practical winter trip planning and for snowshoers who want a substantial collection of Canadian Rockies routes across a range of abilities.
