Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Published just after the Restoration of Charles II, when the modern Army was in its infancy, Thomas Venn’s Military and Maritime Discipline is a classic manual of the military arts. It contains tactics and manoeuvres proscribed for both Horse and Foot. There are directions for officers, drill, all that the ‘Complete Gunner’ needs to know, and advice on fortifications and siege works. Originally published in three volumes, this beautifully reproduced and illustrated single volume has all the charm, fascination and detail of the original, and should be on the bookshelf of every serious student of military history.
