GERMAN STRATEGY IN THE GREAT WAR

von Lieut-Colonel Philip Neame

198 Seiten, Taschenbuch

Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Covering the German Strategic Plan from 1871 through to 1918. Each chapter is devoted to the more important separate campaigns and battles without a connected narrative to all German operations. This book was published as a result of lectures given at the Staff College between 1920-23 and is complete with 17 good full page colour maps. Of value because it is one of the few attempts made by a British soldier to provide a work of instruction based upon a study of German strategy. The author covers a great deal of ground and gives a good summary of the various German offensives. A useful survey and framework for further study.
