shadows form light

Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

In Puterbaugh's third book, she dives into the depths of the grief she experienced in the months following the suicide of her best friend, using poetry to articulate her process and find light in the strange darkness of being one of those left behind. This book moves you through raw grief and into determined hope, and in the end asks you to claim a tender sense of empowerment that seems to say, no matter how great the pain is, there is always a reason to keep going. Named after an artistic concept that to make something real, you must make use of shadow, Puterbaugh leaves you believing that it is not light that casts the shadow, but shadow that casts the light.
