Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

"A scholarly and joyous collection which examines Ray Bradbury's works not only along familiar lines (nostalgia, Halloween, rockets and robots) but from refreshing and new angles. It’s particularly pleasing to see scholars from so many countries applying their critical scrutiny to Bradbury." — Dr Phil Nichols, Editor, The New Ray Bradbury Review This collection explores the work and legacy of celebrated writer and American original Ray Bradbury. Bradbury remains a significant figure in a variety of genres of fiction: science fiction, mystery, noir, fantasy, horror, and historical fiction. He wrote stories, novels, poems, plays, essays, and articles. He worked in Hollywood, had his own theatre company, and helped design elements of Disney theme parks. His work has been sent into space and set to music. This volume engages with Bradbury the artist, the thinker, and the world citizen, exploring individual stories and novels, Bradbury’s international presence, and new perceptions of Bradbury’s life in his work. Dozens of scholars from all over the world offer insights and analyses of every aspect of Bradbury’s work. For the fan as well as the student and the scholar, this volume represents the latest in Bradbury scholarship.
