Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

In 1930s America, Mina Albers's life takes a tragic turn when the state sends her and her siblings to an orphanage after her father's death as her mother was unable to care for them all. Desperate to escape, Mina flees and finds refuge with Robert Ryder, a man who would become her protector and, eventually, her greatest ally. As Mina begins to piece her life back together, with Ryder's help, she reunites with her sisters. The bond between Mina and Ryder grows into something deeper than either of them expected. When Ryder proposes a new life in London, Mina, her sisters, and Flora-her troubled elder sister-embark on a journey across the ocean, only to find themselves entangled in a web of tension, desire, and danger. In the shadow of Nazi Germany, working with Ryder's friend Richard Welles, Mina and Ryder take on daring assignments, risking their lives to gather German intel, save Jewish families, and smuggle infants and children to safety. But as Mina finds herself torn between Ryder and Welles, she also faces deeper challenges-her family's safety and her heritage, in a world on the brink of war. Mina's sister Flora embarks on a perilous undercover mission in Germany, and she finds herself in unimaginable danger and the fate of her future hangs in the balance. A gripping tale of courage, love, and survival, Obscured Intent reveals the power of family and hope in the darkest of times.
