Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The book records recipients of the New Zealand Medal for service during the New Zealand Wars of 1845-47 and 1860-66, including naval personnel who served ashore as part of naval brigades. It also covers the Abyssinian War Medal of 1867, awarded for service during the British expedition to Abyssinia, where naval detachments played an important role in transport and shore operations. As with the authors' other roll publications, the strength of this work lies in its straightforward presentation of detailed recipient records. For collectors and researchers, it provides an invaluable means of tracing naval and marine participation in two very different campaigns and adds considerably to the available documentation of these naval services. A useful and highly recommended reference for anyone researching Royal Navy and Royal Marines campaign medals, particularly those seeking to identify individual recipients and establish their service during these nineteenth-century expeditions
