Each weapon is shown mounted and ready for use, and naval carriages are also included in the many illustrations inn the book.In all there are 53 plates, six of which show penetration comparisons between the Nordenfeldt 1 inch and the Hotchkiss 37 mm. Other plates show the 4 barreled anti-torpedo boat gun, the 5-barreled infantry gun and the embrasure mounting for Nordenfeldt guns, as well as many other interesting details. There are also 55 tables giving weights and dimensions, comparisons, and every other detail worth mentioning of both Nordenfeldt guns and the competitors.The text includes advise on the use of the weapons in various tactical situations, both on land and afloat.
