Über die Autorin

Margaret Atwood, geboren 1939 in Ottawa, Ontario, studierte an der Universität Toronto und am Radcliffe College. Mit ihren Büchern gehört sie zu den bedeutendsten Autorinnen unserer Zeit. Atwood hat bereits mehr als 50 Werke in über 45 Ländern veröffentlicht, darunter Belletristik, Lyrik, Kinderbücher, kritische Essays sowie Graphic Novels. Mit "Der Report der Magd" schuf sie ein Kultbuch, das bereits als Serie verfilmt wurde. Zu weiteren bekannten Büchern zählen der Fortsetzungsband von "Der Report der Magd" mit dem Titel "Die Zeuginnen" sowie "Die Füchsin", "Aus Neugier und Leidenschaft", "Das Herz kommt zuletzt" und "Die steinerne Matratze".
