Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Anthony Cronin's Collected Poems brings together the work of a poetic lifetime by this celebrated Irish poet, from his first book published in London in 1957, to his latest, published in New Island in 1999, as well as a number of new poems. This landmark collection displays Cronin's innate lyrical gift, his honesty to human experience, his range, his always immanent humour and sheer poetic intelligence. Collected Poems, comprehensive and authoritative, also brings together the longer compositions that have been a notable part part of his poetic practise - from RMS Titanic, described by Paul Durcan as a major work', to The End of the Modern World, which Anthony Burgess declared 'should be as well-known as The Wasteland'. In its depth, eloquence and poetic power, Collected Poems will surprise even Antony Cronin's most fervent admirers.
